We have a variety of classes catering for different fitness and technical levels. Below is a summary of each class offered in the current 2018 Timetable.  It is advisable to take a class several times to judge if it is the right class for you and to do so with an open mind and minimal expectations.  The class you may not enjoy initially may be the class that is most beneficial to you!

PROGRAMS / CLASSES

           MIXED MARTIAL ARTS (MMA)

Mixed martial arts (MMA) is a full-contact combat sport that allows both striking and grappling, both standing and on the ground, using techniques from other combat sports and martial arts, such as boxing, muay thai, wrestling, brazilian jiu jitsu etc.

This class is suitable for all abilities ie beginner intermediate etc. This class will suit the member looking for self defence or to learn the most realistic martial art available, also for students hoping to one day compete once you have progress through our system there are competitions and fights available from novice to amateur to European / world championships to the highest level of professional mma, all it takes is hard work and dedication.

           CIRCUIT TRAINING

Circuit Training / Mma Fitness in these classes we work on fitness and conditioning, this is not a combat class it’s a fitness based class using the conditioning techniques and drills top mma athletes use to get in fight shape.

           LADIES ONLY

Ladies Only Box Fit  Our ladies classes are taught by certified instructor Ellen Kiely, these classes are a fantastic workout for burning body fat, toning up, getting fit and having fun. In class we utilise the full range of equipment at trials, battleropes, trx, Bulgarian bags, free weights, skipping ropes,  punch bags and punch pads. Ellens unique classes are a blend of circuit stations and boxing / kickboxing for fitness. Each class is thought in a fun friendly environment.

           K1 KICKBOXING 

K1 Kickboxing these classes are suitable to all abilities and fitness levels, in this class we blend together boxing and k1 style kickboxing, these classes are a great way to burn fat get in shape lose weight and have fun while also learning how to punch and kick properly and blow off some steam on the heavy bags or pads and kick shields.

           MUAY THAI

Muay Thai or Thai boxing is a combat sport of Thailand that uses stand-up striking along with various clinching techniques.This physical and mental discipline which includes combat on shins is known as "the art of eight limbs" because it is characterized by the combined use of fists, elbows, knees, shins, being associated with a good physical preparation that makes a full-contact fighter very efficient.This class is not recommended for beginners but rather intermediate and up. We recommend beginners to start off with our K1 Kickboxing program first to pick up the basics before looking at adding in our Muay Thai program.

In each class we cover new striking techniques, work the heavy bags, pad work with your coach or teammates, conditioning and core work for an overall great workout suitable for the member just looking to learn muay thai, get in shape lose weight and have fun, also for the member looking to compete you will progress onto sparring and then on to novice competitions then amateur and so on.

           TRX CONDITIONING

this is a fitness program utilising TRX resistance training and bulgarian bag worjkouts with various core stations mixed in aswell for n overall great full body workout. fantastic for burning off calories loosing weight and having fun.

           BOX AND BURN BOXING

BOX AND BURN this is a boxing for fitness program, unlike boxercise in our box and burn classes you will also be shown how to box properly by a professional fighter aswell as building up a great sweat and burning calories. these classes are for everyone and are a great way to lose weight and burn off body fat.

           CARDIO BAG WORKOUT

CARDIO BAG WORKOUT this is a 30/45minute conditioning class using or hanging punch bags, each class you will be stationed at your own punch bag and we will be doing various punch drills for a 30 minute fat burning workout. This is a fantastic class for burning calories getting a great sweat on while also getting to blow off steam by letting lose on the punch bags, and at 30/45minutes it’s a great way to get a quick workout in

           BREAKFAST CLUB

this is a program package for our early birds, too 645am classes during the week and a bonus class at 10am saturdays are included. These classes are nice and quick timed at 30 minutes allowing you to get a great early workout hit the showers and get to work or plan the rest of your day. Tuesdays class is a cardio bag workout, thursdays class a circuit training workout and saturdays a cardio bag workout, these classes are suitable for all abilities and fitness levels.
 

           CORPORATE BOXING

Get your team at work punching “above their weight” with our Business and Corporate Team boxing training. Group boxing training is a great team building and motivational tool to help keep your work team on top of their game, whilst having fun at the same time!

Many studies have shown that team work and motivation in the work place can be boosted dramatically by such “bonding” type training and exercise as boxing training. Your staff will get to know each other a lot better whilst throwing punches at each other’s boxing pads in training. Sorry but we can’t let you beat the boss up!

Available for groups of 10 people or more, we will train your work team and provide team T-Shirts, Singlets and Caps as motivation.

Want to take it another step, have a look at our white collar boxing program, we run 2 programs per year that involve 8 weeks specific training leading up to fight night were you get to experience stepping into the ring in front of a crowd of up to 500 people, your friends family and work colleagues !!!

           CHAMPS AND LITTLE CHAMPS

Intrested in a well rounded program that teaches your young people new skills in boxing kickboxing, wrestling and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu? How about adding in a boost of self confidence, respect, fitness and discipline while having fun?
We have our CHAMPS (12 to 15 year olds) and LITTLE CHAMPS (6 to 11year olds) programs.

Every day in class they’ll get a tag for effort and paying attention, the classes are themed on focus, balance, teamwork etc. Every 16 tags they’ll get a stripe on their belt, every 4 stripes they will be in line for a new belt promotion and cert which are free.
This helps them learn to set small goals and follow through. Also a sense of achievement for effort and improvement.

There are 12 places available in each program with 2 instructors supervising.
